I've spent the last six years actively avoiding motorsports. Fuck that. Never turn your hobby into your job. I also have issues with incompetent management. I hate working for clowns and won't commit to something if I don't buy into the leadership. Unfortunately 90% of the management and directorship within the auto and motorsport industry are outright incompetent, and its only getting worse

I honestly think it's strange how many people actually want to be an F1 engineer... There's better paid engineering jobs out there where you are not worked as hard and you're working on challenges with a much greater impact on society than making cars go fast around tracks. Sure I do think racing is fun, but I'm really happy I'm applying my CFD skills somewhere else.

I worked for 3 years at an f1 team based in England.. I loved it but I decided to grow my family. I'd love to get back into it but it's just not the same team anymore :/
