Over the past few years we've allowed YouTube to automatically place ads in our videos wherever it seemed fit. Last night, our editor was reading through comments and saw someone complain about the amount of ads. After investigating, he quickly realized the commenter was correct and there were too many ads placed by YouTube.
We have reduced the ads from this semester, as well as the previous semester's live streams. We will continue to go through our video library to find more streams and highlight videos with an absurd number of ads and we will massively reduce them.
We sincerely apologize. Our intention was not to run as many ads as possible. We will do better moving forward with monitoring our ad placements.
