can i put in a vote for them being both good and awful. i have never encountered a work that leans so hard into both extremes of genuinely good and genuinely so bad

I love them. The humor sucks, and personally offends me as a mentally disabled person, but the gay love story is incredible. The Apple Split and Care Package story is absolutely wonderful. Just really wish he'd stop with the r slur. I can roll my eyes through the rest of it, but that always ruins my day.

It’s really unfortunate that his channel got wiped because a lot of his IRL videos are hard to find now. He stays in character, but there’s definitely some insights into his real life that add some context to why the series is the way it is. In a way, it’s a character study of the author, like many single-artist longtime works. Also poopoo funny I don’t care how many times they do the same few bits I’m always at least cracking a grin. It’s my kryptonite. Even I have to admit he’s gone too far a few times though

Honestly, love it! The overarching storylines provide staying power while the humor hits in ways like one scene being super well animated then the next a character will be a more simple drawing with a hilarious face or cartoonish proportion. Definitely one of the MLP fan series I that stands out, though I can see why some might not have taste for the jokes, to each their own.

They are amazing! The characters are incredibly divers and have a lot of depth. His Twilight is the best autism representation I have ever seen, even better than the original in FIM.

They can be funny sometimes but they honestly just reek of the 4chan weirdo end of the fandom in a way that's very offputting

I wish he hadn’t abandoned his Sonic Underground series. If he was doing both Sonic and MLP, I’d be fine with it, but I was really only ever subscribed for Sonic, and now it’s all MLP.

Absolutely fantastic. Honestly I think it's the best MLP fan series ever created.

It’s honestly a roller coaster ride of emotions. But overall I LOVE Tamers!!! I love how the story takes itself seriously when it needs to and doesn’t shy away from serious topics. The toilet humor is not for me but that doesn’t take me away from actual content of the story. I can tell he’s getting better with each and every episode. Especially when it’s made by one person.(I think) I just wish he takes his time making them honestly. Also MARIONETTE IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER OF ALL TIME I WANT HER BACK!!!!

Its honestly some of the best work in the fandom if youve got the stomach for it

“It has too many dumb jokes” that’s what the series is mostly based if it’s not ur thing it’s just not ur thing lolll

Truly an inspiration, oddly enough. I find it interesting and cool that he just does his own thing. I find the humor in the series to be extremely satirical. As everyone says it is, it's a car crash you simply can't look away from. Some jokes are very lowbrow, but the writing is better than you expect. A diamond in the rough, but you're picking through shit to get to the good stuff.

i cant quite articulate it, but it gives me similar ick to those godforsaken Fluffy Pony illustrations that permiated the brony fandom's underbelly. it's not on the same level, of course, but it's the same energy i get from it.

I got into tamers at least 2 years ago so I had the slow buildup of how insane he gets. I know people tend to dislike the humor, but like idc. It’s just funny to hear someone give this deep speech about identity before ripping a hard one. It’s just so stupid and out of the blue that I can’t help but laugh. Also even at the use of slurs or something, most of these horses come out on top. Like soarin had it the worst and now homie is top of the food chain. I’ll miss the crazy horse stuff but tamers will continue to be peak unabashed stank humor and I respect him for putting out his flow of work the way he does. It’s like sunny in phili if Everyone was worse lol

i love tamers12345, i just wish they didnt have to include the substanceless shock humor. ive been a 'fan' ever since the sonic underground days and honestly... i know its all ironic and all, but there's barely any reinvention with humor nor is there introspection.. and it can get reaaally grating with how much they throw slurs and bigotry around. its like if someone tried to recreate south park from memory, except without the restraint of tv censorship. they have all of the offensive shock humor, but none of the actual overarching political messages that one could extract from the stories. and sometimes the bigotry is just.. played completely straight. its weird. basically: i like some of the lore and the art and the queer themes, but other times its just poop fart ableism and slurs.

Some bits are reallyyyyy strange and I can't really bring myself to watch it since it's all pretty "edgy" I guess it's just not for me but I can get why people like it sorta
