Between this and Dr. Doudna's work, it makes me wonder how soon until we edit out various undesirable traits from humanity. No more obesity, various hereditary diseases, and so on. My sincere good-hearted envy at those able to work on this. They do absolutely amazing work.

Wow this sounds massive. It’s not just about bringing extinct animals back but about changing the future of life itself. I’m definitely checking this out.

This might be the best video you’ve ever made. Thoroughly great work on making a case why this tech is worth keeping an open mind to. Immaculate work.

in addition to recovering those extinct species which should be brought back, that detailed genetic data could also be the genetic record necessary to begin seeding colonies around our stellar neighborhood, if you think about it. we wouldn't have to worry about our own species going extinct, being chained to this rock without viable propulsion which would make interstellar travel realistically feasible.

This is exactly why I can’t stand internet bandwagon hate trains—especially about THIS company. The exact same week the “dire wolves” update was posted, another update was too. This one, about red wolves which are critically endangered all over their remaining range. No one talked about that. That news didn’t blow up and make people optimistic and hopeful about the technology. None of those people who pissed and moaned anr screamed about Colossal actually give a shit about wildlife. They just want to virtue signal and be pathetic cynics, never doing a goddamn thing to make the world better, to do the right thing. Parasites, the lot of them.

New HUGE episode! We just published a story all about one of my favorite topics, bringing back extinct animals: https://youtu.be/iX6w1P60m8M?si=k8GKJ...
The reason I love talking about this so much is it's so sci-fi but so misunderstood. You might’ve seen
news about dire wolves or woolly mammoths or dodo birds or even dinosaurs, but when I took a deep dive into what’s really going on here, I realized we're all missing the best part...
We're on the cusp of a huge genetic breakthrough. And yet the most "huge if true" thing happening here isn’t bringing back extinct animals. It's what this means for all the animals alive today.
And very few people seem to know about it…
So go watch our episode, let me know what you think, and tell us in the comments what other "huge if true" stories we should cover!
