You’re giving me flashbacks. We used to have to calculate those from memory. Dogs have encumbrance just like PCs, based on their strength. Your weight, your gear and the saddle had to be under a certain weight or it would encumber them based on their strength. Dog sleds work like the drag weight encumbrance, which was three times your carried encumbrance, if I recall correctly. Divide the total weight by the number of dogs to calculate the encumbrance of each one. That gives you the modified speed for the team. If one dog can carry 50 lbs unencumbered, it can drag 150 lbs unencumbered, so a team of four can drag 600 lbs unencumbered, meaning their full movement rate. Wagons work different, because the wheels bear the weight. Those dogs can also move at a x2 jog, x3 run and a x4 sprint, but you risk exhaustion and injury with those. Druids and Rangers can also use spells to duplicate Wilderness Stride in their mounts, causing them to ignore terrain modification to overland speed. That means a Druid crossing a forest has the same overland movement speed as someone else using a road. That’s some of the hardcore PvE gaming, AJ. Some of us old-timer have that stuff memorized because we calculated it so often. I can remember a game where I had to separate from the party and go overland to raise the alarm about an approaching horde of goblins because my wolf companion had a saddle that made it mimic Woodland Stride and Trackless Step, because I was a goblin Druid/Ranger and I wanted it unable to be tracked too. I dumped half my gear on the Paladin’s horse and rode like a bat out of hell, arriving three days before the Paladin, Cleric and Mage, because they had to ride for half a day to get to a road first. This is old-school gaming stuff here. Half the adventure, if not more, used to be getting to the dungeons back then.

I stopped watching your channel ever since you started using AI. You've used it for art, scripts, and voices overs. And even worse, you don't lable stuff as AI, so we're forces to guess what is and isn't AI. Plus there are plenty of lore channels that still use and credit real artists.

Cool! We can find out the history of blink dogs as Celest...um Fey??? Are they from the Heavens? From the Feywilds? Servants of Angels, or Oberon? 😊 Would a team blink-pulling the sled be even faster

The dogs go a little faster to deliver the medicine if Balto and the red girl dog have a romantic subplot

I like your narration but you have to lay off the AI art man. Frankly, you are the attraction of your channel and the glut of AI images are detracting from the overall experience.

Cmon you don't have to use AI for these. The D&D community is full of artists. You should know better
