Wrote a lengthy comment but got a Youtube error and I don't see it now, so I'm going to leave this heavily condescend comment instead. If you haven't seen it already, I would take a read through u/enormoushatred's retranslation series on reddit. There have been many individual and group attempts at retranslating Xenogears but his is fascinating and sheds light on a lot of things I never new, some of which might be relevant to your reference guide. https://www.reddit.com/r/XenoGears/comments/zt0d07/japanese_xenogears_love_and_trash_part_18/ It's neat stuff, but I want to draw special attention to part 18 (linked above) where he asserts that Ramsus being "an artificial contact" is a complete mistranslation, which is fascinating because its a claim I never see brought up anywhere else.
