How do you handle changes in YouTube's monetization policies?

@ShallieDragon

By not relying on YouTube for money, as it has proven itself to be completely unreliable.

I'm handling them just fine because I haven't made my first paycheck from YouTube yet. I just wanna be smart with what I end up getting from adsense. Saving some reinvesting it into upgrading equipment. And I already have other streams of income that I've set up. Not making much money with them yet but that will grow with increased traffic. So basically you handle by not taking it for granted and always having a back up plan.

Sometimes your niche can get really popular, and sometimes your niche can make you zero dollars, that’s why it’s always good to do multiple things and not just box yourself into one category regardless of how YouTube wants to set up their system.

I’m at the point now where I don’t even monetize my videos until my subscribers have had a long time to watch it. I’m not making enough anymore for the amount to be of concern for me.

By getting screwed repeatedly by the actions of others who are too inconsiderate. YouTube would be far better if they just punished the people doing wrong and not everyone all at once. Especially when they are allowed to keep their highly profitable channels. Every change YouTube has made has been caused by a large YouTuber and has only seen the punishment of small growing YouTubers. But I get it. Why pay everyone when you could just profit off of the little guy. It makes perfect business sense to have millions of tiny channels producing tiny profits for them alone.
