FOGHAT

50 YEARS AGO TODAY 🎉 Fool for the City was released
and the world heard SLOW RIDE for the very first time! đŸŽ¶ A huge thank you to Nick Jameson — who not only produced the record, but also played bass AND was instrumental in the writing and arrangement of Slow Ride!

This was one of the first 10 albums I ever bought. “Toys in The Attic”, “Expect No Mercy”, “Machine Head”, “Queen”, “A Day at The Races”, “A Night at The Opera”, “LED Zeppelin IV, and “Physical Graffiti”. We’re the only ones before it. I wish I’d have been able to see you live back then. Today? Too broke, too broken, too much cancer. But, I still listen. My body knows I’m at the end, but, my heart still thinks I’m 17 & bulletproof. I don’t often quote Dr Hook, but, “Pass that roach please, pour the wine, I’ll kiss yours if you kiss mine, I’m gonna boogie ‘til I go blind, freakin’ at the breakers ball, y’all, freakin’ at the breakers ball”. 😂😂
