@putridscene

Honestly, they're all good. Such wildly diverse line ups.

Not only was the Super Famicom my choice from that gen, but it is my #1 favorite of all time. From the revolutionary controller, to the amazing sound chip, and one of the best libraries in all of gaming history. That system was truly second to none.

I grew up with a Mega Drive. It's still my favourite. Sonic 3K is top tier. That said, these days, I'm enjoying the games I missed from the other systems. Super Metroid, Rondo of Blood, Shock Troopers, to name a few.

The genesis was best for me as a kid because i loved playing sports games with my brother, and sonic was dope. I loved playing with my cousin amd friends too. Now im grown and love them all. They were all great systems, and we all had fun playing them

Just as much nostalgia for both SNES and Sega. Had them both. Could never choose 😅

Snes. Link to the past. Mario world. Donkey Kong. Super Metroid. Final Fantasy 6. Too many awesome games.

SNES of course. So many bangers, plus the Super GameBoy. I even have the NES Classic, with added SNES games. Perfect with the Wii Classic Controller. 💯♥ (Though I did break up with bricktendo, my connections with classic Nintendo will never fade.

SNES is my gateway to RPGs. Saw FF 6 and straight away captivated by the beautiful world and music.. got hooked on the story and have been playing tons of new and old RPG ever since.

SNES was. Genesis is now.

Sega CD. Back in the day, world building was difficult to fit into a cartridge. Games like Sonic CD, the Lunar Series, Challenge from the Darkside, Snatcher, and Mansion of Hidden Souls seemed endlessly deep waters at the time. Today, I really can't pick a favorite. Each console was doing something leagues better than the others. The generation feels incomplete without the full picture.

I grew up with an SNES but find myself playing Genesis games more often lately

I love them all. Neo Geo goes last though because that was a real rich person console growing up. The prices those cartridges went for, ooh boy

I love all of those systems, and both the Mega Drive / Genesis and SNES are very close to my heart. If I can only choose one, it would be the Genesis because of nostalgia and how much playing the Phantasy Star games on that console had an impact on me as a gamer regarding recognizing what I liked most in games and expanding my understanding of what could be done with games and how much depth they could have. The original Phantasy Star on the Master System is the game that started my passion for RPGs, so continuing with the series as I grew up had a considerable influence on me.

Neo geo was crazy but I didn’t know anyone who had one, played in the arcades. I didn’t even have an SNES myself, my neighbour did. I played at their house, or watched them play

I never even heard of TurboGrafx until just recently. It sounds really cool though and the cards to play games are awesome looking
