While joker is insane and may be capable of defeating many enemies, at least psychologically, rambo would defeat him and would prove to joker that he didn't fall in his traps by actually sparing his life (think like how batman mostly lets joker live because of his moral codes)

I know Rambo is more liked than Joker but the latter can give hard time to Batman even barehanded (some versions even won), so this battle depends how Rambo would stall against the Dark Knight

They're both pretty creative and clever, either one has the potential to catch the other off guard. Rambo probably has the endurance to power through though while Joker is a little flimsier, plus his traps are more meant to be funny than lethal. A Joker trap might mess Rambo up severely but a Rambo trap is going to kill Joker.
