Hey guys,

How time flies! It’s been 13 months since Nintendo released Tears of the Kingdom on May 12th last year.

As Nintendo has decided that they won’t have a plan for TotK DLC in the future, now we are ready to look for the next Zelda game, probably in 5-6 years.

What are the potential new features / new ways of playing that you’re most excited about in the next game for the Legend of Zelda?

Zelda playable would be cool, if like the RE series you switch at certain points, but I just want her in the game instead of only intro/outro parts. Better when she's a character instead of a prize.

I’d like to see a return of specialty equipment. I really miss the Hookshot, playable instruments, and underwater exploration from the N64/Wii/WiiU era of games. I expect some sort of return to Light / Dark / Shadow / Silent / Past / Future shifting capability if the dev team returns to a classic formula. However, if the creators are looking to explore new mechanics, those are so well trodden in Zelda titles that they would not even be considered.

I'd like to see them revisit the twilight world. Midna hasn't had a good return to the story. I could even see them doing the overlayed world with the current hyrule open world. Just ditch the letdown attic (sky) and basement (depths) parts and give us a parallel world to hyrule. Remember the mirror from the snes zelda game? Imagine portaling back and forth between two world's. Would definitely make for some interesting puzzles to solve.

I think it would be cool to see a darker / less cute zelda game.
