Thank you, Jared. My mother tongue is Spanish, and when I am in YouTube, I only listen to videos in English to improve my listening skills. Besides, I really enjoy listening to your voice. The speed, rhythm, and tone are very pleasant. ¡Saludos!

Agreed. 😊 I was excited about the idea at first but turned it off immediately because of the viewer's feedback on it

Omg thank you 🙏🙏🙏 i'm French and i hate this feature : it's Google trad at it's worse with an expressionless AI generated voice. For random amusement videos that doesn't teach anything, that might be ok, but as soon as it's book review, of philosophy, or any kind of deep talk, really, this shit is butchering the meaning and removing any feeling of humanity because of the expressionless voice. I'm really grateful for the channels that doesn't force this on us, it's unnerving to be grated by an AI voice when trying to listen to something

It’s very enervating how these tech companies assume they know what we want. And then impose their way of thinking without even asking for permission.

Dankeschön! I listen YT Channels only in english and had to change my YT Setting to english to enjoy my favorite channels again. Thanks to consider foreighn Native speakers.

Thanks, good decision! I'm German and yt has never shown me the autodubbed version (probably because I'm watching more videos in English than in German), but on my start page and in my watch later list they did list your videos with translated title and even that crept me out.

I asked you for this and honestly, thank you so much !!! I can't understand why youtube wouldn't make the option to turn it off for users....

Thanks Jared. Bilingual English and Spanish here. The Spanish dubbing voice is truly horrible. Weird AI voice speaking Spanish in a Mexican accent.

It's who we are - in harmony with our diverse skills and backgrounds.

The main issue with this is that Youtube automatically does it for every video (if the channel has it enabled) that isn't in the same language as the settings of someone's Youtube account. As a native German speaker who loves to watch a lot of English videos it's so frustrating as you have to switch it off manually every single time. Seriously Youtube, at least give us an option to permanently turn this feature off!

Potentially useful feature, but of course it is forced on the users by default because they want users to watch more AI slop. As always, follow the money. By the way, "Tron" (1982) has become a very prophetic movie, depicting a perpetual war where the corporate Master Control program is trying to dominate and enslave both other software and human users.

As a german I hate it. I set the language to English so that English Videos are not automatically translated but now some german Videos are Getting Automatically translated into English.

Maybe channels should do their own dubbing if it's possible. And it's possible do two videos, one in English and other for area language that video tells about?

I've disabled auto-dubbing on my channel. This was a feature YouTube rolled out and automatically enabled, and I thought it might be good for increasing accessibility for those who don't speak English or prefer to hear something in their native tongue.
Feedback indicates that the dubs are horrible. So, I've turned it off.
