Summerland is a town in BC where I was born and of which I have no memory. The album was recorded in the wake of my mother’s passing in 2021. It holds a lot of what grief has taught me. The cover was painted by Beverly Zawitkoski, my mom’s childhood friend, whose art was all over the walls of the house I grew up in.
“Bright Green Vibrant Gray”, out today, will accompany “Swimmer” and “Spring Bug” on Goodnight Summerland.
