This blows my mind. I’ve been driving this r32 daily for a few months. And let’s be honest by most every measure it’s just a dusty mk4. Now don’t get that twisted I love this car. I really do. But at the end it’s a 230k 20 year old VW.
But even this one that has no clear coat, dirty, kinda gross wheels, missing badges and all, gets more attention than any car I’ve ever owned. More random 👍 thumbs up, more waves, more “Hell yes” from random people in random not vw cars. None of that ever happened in my blue r32, my mk8, my yellow R, the purple R I had for a minute none of them.
It’s so wild to me in the coolest way possible. The r32 is a pretty iconic car far outside of the VW community. And I think that’s pretty damn cool. 😎
