I think vegeta has a decent development when it comes to him having the super saiyan 4 form. as he had help from bulma, something he refused a lot in z. so yeah. but I think goku takes the vote simply because, it touches a big part that goku used to refuse in z, which his saiyan bloodline's power. the tail. and to transform into the thing that killed his dear grandpa gohan. mainly for the sake of earth. that's the kind of thing I like about super saiyan 4 in GT compared to other forms, it's about embracing something the 2 saiyans used to refuse for so long. for vegeta it was help. for goku it's embracing the beast within for the sake of all. edit : if we'd want to have a super saiyan 4 gohan, he'll have to embrace something we don't know of.

I like Vegeta SSJ4 for his red fur and the nice brown tint to his hair. Black with a brown sheen, so cool. The pants aren't bad either. All in all, just a badass. Though Goku seems to have changed more in terms of personality somehow.

Goku but to be fair to Vegeta the only time he got Super Saiyan 4 was near the end of GT and he really didn't get to show off what he could do with it before it ended

Goku's SSJ4 transformation in GT felt earned. GT had a lot of problems when it came to the writing, but one thing they got right was tying Goku's various transformations and the progress he had made over the course of OG Dragon Bal as well as Z to the new transformation. Seeing Goku master his Oozaru form is arguably the highlight of GT, and i'm disappointed that Daima completely skipped that element of his SSJ4 transformation.

Goku managed the transformation, Vegeta was enhanced to achieve it, so Goku is the winner on this one just to be fair.

I like Goku's SSJ4 design more. I like the violet-ish shade the red has, the big wild hair, yellow eyes, and I think the primal look of it fits Goku more. Vegeta's more of a regal character, and while he also looks really cool as a SSJ4, I don't think he embodies the spirit of it as much as Goku.

One earned it one through their pride away to accept help from a machine to obtain it. Goku complained the entire time he obtained Super Saiyan God through the ritual due to him not achieving it on his own. Vegeta was handed ssj4 by his wife and took pride in his new power and acted cocky.

I like Goku’s hair better, but Vegeta’s fur was cooler. Goku was the better ssj4 ig, since he unlocked it himself.
