Tips For Travellers

After doing my #SilverNova tour when docked in Aomori Japan to Hirosaki Castle, I walked from the small cruise port along the waterfront to the incredible Aomori Nebula Museum. This large museum is dedicated to the annual paper lantern parade and inside are some of the enormous lanterns, one even dating back to the 1950s. These lanterns are huge. They are 3-D structures on large bases that groups of people then move through the streets. Some are several stories high. The artwork on these paper lanterns are phenomenal. Next door is the A-Factory. This is a complex of stalls, shops and cafes mostly based on apples that the region is famous for. #aomori
