I absolutely loved Wicked: For Good and I can say that I truly have been changed for good. I don’t get how the critics are giving it so many negative reviews!!! They don’t know what they are talking about lol.
I can’t believe some people are saying the two new songs weren’t good or weren’t necessary. They added so much and they were so beautiful. The Girl in the Bubble was so emotional and Ari’s operatic notes at the end were angelic.
Vocally it was incredible. They are excellent singers, there is really no critique I could give them. Cynthia ATE DOWN the vocals in No Good Deed!! The belts were so well supported and effortless. Also, as in Wicked part 1, I love the contrast between Cynthia’s heavy, powerful voice and Ari’s light, angelic, sweet voice!
I cried during the door scene after For Good omg!!! So emotional
Ariana’s acting is SOO good!!!! She’s such a versatile actress, she was able to act as Glinda in Wicked who was immature and bubbly AND as Glinda in Wicked: For Good who is much more emotional. She was a great crier! She SO deserves that Oscar!!!
The chemistry between Elphaba and Fiyero in As Long As You’re Mine was soo good!!!
Also the ENDING?!!!! Omgggggg!!!!! I can’t believe the finale isn’t part of the soundtrack bc it has such great vocals and is soo good!!! I love how Ariana sings For Good at higher notes, it sounds amazing!!!
I generally am not a fan of action scenes but they were done very tastefully and not overdone!! They were part of the story rather than just for the sake of having an action scene like they are in some movies.
I honestly don’t really have anything negative to say about the movie, it was SOO GOOD!!!!!! This is SO minor but I think Cynthia could’ve shown more sadness and emotion after Nessa’s death. It seemed like she didn’t care that much even though it’s a major plot point to her story.
But yeah, as I said before, overall I LOVED!!! It and I truly have been changed for good.
