Definitely not loading up too fast for $69 each. Unless they teamed up with some of the known plug-in makers like refx, Spectrasonics, Roland, korg, etc. I have iPad instruments that are cheaper that I can sample in for half and some a quarter of the price.

Well, looks like I'll be one of the few buying these, but it will definitely help my standalone production capabilities and producing while traveling. I don't care how much they cost, just give me bundle pricing or rent-to-own as an option. And they better be high sound quality and valuable. I bet they start out expensive and then put them on sale for Black Friday also.

Are these 8 in addition to Hype, Mellotron etc? What are these new VSTi’s? Do you mean standalone on computer or in a DAW?

Nahh. I use the mpc for sampling and chopping + it's my main sequencer. I've got hardware synths and effects boxes for everything else

Maybe not all of them no. But if they offer something unique that I can use - especially as a live keys player - then I might grab a few.

Nope. I don’t use the free ones to begin with. I am certainly not paying for new ones. Granted, the MPC is a very specific tool for me. I use it very explicitly to sample and only to sample. Once I get a sound into the MPC, if I sampled drums I’d program the drums and then send it to the DAW, if I sampled any tonal sound then I’d use the MPC as a glorified vst.

I have way too many VSTs and expansions to be worried about 8. That’s silly🤷🏿♂️ not worth

Do we know what these synths are? I saw a screenshot of a piano on that new Keyboard. So I’m guessing that. Maybe if these are big multi samples we’ll get disk streaming :) Akai is on big horses now. Let’s hope they don’t drop the ball.

Ahhh Hell to the no!!! I bought the MPC live 1 and the next day the 2 came out... Lol. I'll take the updates though!!! Or the new keyboard if it has all the sounds...

Fuck No!!! Hype is the only vst I think is really worth a damn (to me), and I have plenty hardware to make my own "vst's". I think it would be really unfair to exclude those who bout Live 2 and One from getting the new VST's, Live 2 is barely two years old, and One much younger. If they do not provide the new VSTs to current hardware owners at no cost, I think they will loose a lot of support, especially when the new hardware is not exactly comparable to current hardware (not everyone wants a keyboard).
