Was it harder to live in 2019 or 2025?

I was making $15.70 less an hour in 2019, but had $2,000 extra leftover every month. Not including my wife's salary. Now I have about $1,000 leftover every month.

My husband and I paid $650 for rent with water included. Groceries were $100 a week if we were buying basically whatever we wanted. Gas was $2/gallon.

And it’s just getting started. The US is falling and Americans have no idea what it’s like in the rest of the world, but they will soon learn. Start saving money if you haven’t done that, make sure you invest it correctly. Those who are fearful will be among the poorest, the people who are fearless will join the elite.

In 2019 I had a house and 2 cars but I was broke. I sold 1 car and my house in 2020 and I bought a condo with cash. It seems like we're still paying for the dot com bubble and 2008 crisis. Everything is way too expensive now. The poor have increased around me and it's so depressing. 2 guys in my Bible study group have lost their jobs recently. I've been saving my money and I gave my son the car I kept from 2020 and I bought a new car last Sept but I had saved up for it and paid cash. I don't carry credit card debt either. I help my Son and I also volunteer for local charities. The food bank line is fairly long these days in my local area 😞

2019 was bad, 2025 is worse, 2027 will be the pre-hell, 2030 will be hell on earth.

This is good for all of us. It will eliminate zombie companies, businesses that provide awful services/products and expose most (not all) fraud. Unfortunately some good families will get caught up in the turmoil and that is sad. From my personal perspective and experience sometimes a fresh start is exactly what people need. 🌞

For normies it’s 2025, while those of us that knew what was coming were freaking out in 2019. I felt this wave of dread wash over me in 2019 when I realized what’s happening and had to get my family out of the city before it was too late. It looks like they’re really going to push that next domino over with this ebt money, everyone that is just now waking up and still living in the city this is your last chance to get out… people do some wild shit after they haven’t eaten in a couple days!

2019 was when most families and friends were that. UNDIVIDED, BUT.......THE SCAM DEMIC WAS NOTHING MORE THAN THE DESTROYER

That's a good question I really have no finite answer since I think alot of us are adapting, changing, and helpful one another best we can. Keep on keeping on. ❤❤

@NihilistSolitude

We had the reckless spending and action by the governmebt during covid and 4 years of a terrible president so yea 2025 is much rougher thrn 2019 which overall was quite good

2019 was right before the pandemic hit. Recruiters were blowing me up for tech jobs while i had a high paying tech job. Rent was still too dang on high. Car prices were still out of control. Food prices were affordable but higher than prior years. But the income opportunities were there. Commercial real estate was affordable too. Renting or buying. I could locate reasonable multifamily properties.

I actually was just starting to hit my stride in 2019. I'm now a homeowner and a multi-thousandaire. Would definitely be doing better if I was more successful a decade prior but I think I still might be able to retire someday.

I had everything up until Spring this year. I’ve never been this depressed in all my life.
