“I’ve been CrossFitting for about 4.5 years. I’ve lost about 185 pounds with CrossFit alone but a total weight loss of 230 pounds,” Al Sagapolutele said. “Coaching was something that I didn’t go looking for when I first started CrossFit. There was no realm of possibility in my head that I’d be one day coaching CrossFit.”

Like many individuals who take the CrossFit Level 2, the four showed up with some apprehension on the first day of the course. However, they quickly realized that the trainers “have their best interests at heart,” which opened the door for learning, being vulnerable amongst their peers, and becoming better coaches.
