One year on the road.
It all started as a crazy idea- to go from Ireland to Japan, across the entirety of the biggest land mass on the planet. Do it with a motorcycle, and do it solo. Well, little did I know I would be doing most of the trip without a motorcycle, and I wouldn’t ever really be alone. I would be meeting tons of amazing people, eager to share their culture with a traveller from a faraway land.
My goal was to see how culture changes slowly across Eurasia- by taking only land borders and taking an entire year to soak it all in. Well, I can confidently say I’ve done it- I’ve done something I didn’t know was possible- I left the house a year ago with almost no plan. I had a motorcycle and a little money and that was it. And through a constant process of figuring it out day-by-day, I’ve done it.
Special thanks to my friends, family, and patrons who have supported me along the way. Even when I do arguably stupid stuff, they’re still by my side because they know how much this means to me. This has been the most meaningful journey of my life and it’s been my pleasure to share it with you all. Not long before we’ll be in Japan.
