Always been, and I hope it always will be. I do not ask for easier days, but the fortitude and wisdom to face the hardships ahead.

I grew up in an abusive home, so that sucked. But I still managed to have some good memories, and I looked outside my home for role models. My 20's were fun, but very hard and confusing. I didn't know my place in the world. My 30's were exhausting but rewarding (became a parent). My 40's have been fulfilling and the best decade by far. This was the decade I took care of myself and healed from past hurts. I'll turn 50 in a few months and I wonder how I made it this far still in one piece. They say you reach peak happiness in your 70's, and I believe it. But you have to take care of yourself and your loved ones along the way!

Living with autism and adhd can't be hard, especially when the two fight which they do often. Always feeling behind everyone and being left alone in the dust, but I can't let that discourage me. There's enough lazy people these days without me contributing that things are going to shit and if I can't turn things around alone, I'll make it better for future me.
