The crt/emulation video is pretty much done! It's basically ready for youtube in its current state, just a few minor adjustments needed.
In the meantime, here's what I've been up to with pc hardware:
- I got my hands on two Xeon 5080s! These are almost the best Intel Netburst cpus, equivalent to Pentium (D) Extreme. They run at 3.7GHz (previously I had Xeon 5060s @3.2 GHz which I've used in previous videos). I'll make a video where I overclock them. -Dual Pentium Extreme @ >4GHz!!!
- I bought an i7-6900K as a replacement for my Xeon/5960X in my main X99 rig, I found it for £30 on ebay! I'm using my old MSI X99 board to test it in before moving it to my main ASUS X99 rig -it's working fine so far! I'm temporarily using this board in the lga 775 rig (used for the core2duo/quad comparison videos) with the RTX 3060 which barely fit inside the case! I'm getting carried away tinkering with bios settings and playing Apex Legends with this system!
- I bought a Z97 motherboard, cpu and ram bundle, this will again replace the board in the same lga 775 pc when I'm done with the MSI X99 board. I'm going to be using it with the uncommon Broadwell i7-5775C - delidded! It will be AIO water cooled (in a wierd way). I'll post a picture of it soon and will hopefully test it in a video.
