Jeff Jackson

Hey boxing heads!

What are some the best rematches that did not take place?

And if it did, what would the outcome be in your opinion? Let me know what ya'll think!

Ali vs foreman, would’ve loved to see what Foreman had done in a rematch. Lewis vs Klitschko such a good fight the first time. Tyson vs Douglas would’ve been so interesting knowing what we know now about Douglas who went on to have a disaster career.

Duran v Sugar Ray Leonard Leonard v Hagler DelaHoya v Trinidad DeLaHoya v Mayweather Roy Jones v Toney All these fights deserved proper rematch, one with a proper toney, and one where duran come in at peak shape, also one where delahoya and trinidad have a proper fight.

Even though it ended in only 3 rounds Hagler vs Hearns II would have been great to see. I think Tommy would have fought a more tactical fight rather than just pitching into Marvelous Marvin at the first bell.

Chavez-Taylor II, Chavez-Whitaker II, Chavez-Randall III. Immediate rematches, not Chavez waiting until they were washed up.

Hagler and Hearns took a lot of punishment in that fight, I honestly don't think they would have wanted to fight again. That fight took a lot out of Marvelous, he wasn't the same fighter after that, neither was Hearns, but they both still were great and would have beaten the best of the crop afterwards. If they really wanted a second fight, they would have made it happen.
