The circle is now complete. When I first found this channel, Man of Steel had just come out, now that film is nostalgic of another time.

The first video I watched by you was your Superman 2 retrospective and I remember you saying, something along the line of "Maybe when man of steel hits the big screen or comes to DVD we will see something", Oh how long ago was that, to think back then that Man of steel seemed like a long wait. Also while it's not my favourite superman movie, it still holds a special place in my heart as it's the first Superman film I got to see in cinema, I was to young for superman returns (to watch it in cinemas) so I was really excited to see it. And I remember my 10 year old self being a bit shocked when the John Williams theme didn't play.

I still can’t wrap my head around the fact it’s gonna be 12 this year. Time is one scary son of a bitch. Looking forward to the retrospective Oliver!

Nice one Olly! Like all of us 82 kids, id say your looking forward to Legacy in July. After MOS I'm keeping my expectations low. I don't think anything can beat the 78 Christopher Reeve/Doner movies. They were magical and seeing them at that age was perfect. MOS is a mixed one for me. It's not that re-watchable... unfortunately.

Oh God…… this film is now 12 years old, making it old enough for a retrospective.

Can't Wait! Hope you do a more in-depth retrospective on Superman IV: The Quest for Peace in the Future. 👌 Also Oliver, will you be covering Switching Channels in the future, great stories about the production on that movie? Thanks again for always keeping us entertained!

I don't care what you say! Hans Zimmer's musical score for Man of Steel is amazing and will forever be my favorite Superman score.

Very interested to hear your thoughts. Can't believe it's been 12 years since I got to see a solo Superman outing on the big screen. I've enjoyed MoS a lot more on recent viewings though I'm not a fan of the colour grading and still feel the amount of destruction could've been lessened. Not long to go until the new Superman is released and I really hope it can be just as good as MoS, if not better. Some of what I've seen I really don't like, however I'm willing to wait until the film is released and give it a chance. Your retrospectives are always something to look forward to and I tend to learn new facts and end up seeing the films in a new light.
