Yeah but there’s so many more tournaments nowadays

@apocalypse2819

Much bigger pockets, more reactive cloths and far more tournaments, just like the trebles and doubles being massively enlarged. Would love to see the best players from the 80s on a current snooker table.

More tournaments, the tables play 100x faster so you can get much better positional play . The game is more professional now and play standard is generally a lot higher

There were probably hundreds of before the 1990s but none televised.

@mikelowry6154

The only way to start comparing if the level of play has truely increased is to put all playing materials such as the cloth, balls table (heating) as well as the same sized pockets

And the equipment is far more advanced than in the 70’s and 80’s. More tournaments, better equipment but not necessarily better players.

@h00h15

We will definitely reach 100+ 147 at the end of the decade

@8sins236

I thought Joe Davis, Rex Williams and John Spencer were all recognised as having made a 147. Or are only televised centuries counted?

@Anton_G_604

147 is not the hardest thing in sports as many snooker players claim.

@Ihavenoenemies-nomore
