A bit late, but NSMB is a HUGE quality upgrade in Nintendo Music. It's pretty much a "studio version", and is very clean (comparison on my twitter). A similar version can be found in the "SUPER MARIO HISTORY 1985-2010" and "The 30th Anniversary SUPER MARIO BROS. Music" CDs with some mixing differences across all, though the CDs only provided three unique tracks.
Releases like this are exactly what I've been hoping to get out of Nintendo Music, higher quality versions previously not accessible.
