Josh Brett

What fitness legend, influencer, or brand would you most like to see a documentary-style video on❓

I have a few planned but would love to get a second opinion🙂

Not a single person or brand, but the emergence of science-based fitness content on YouTube. Until a few years ago, it felt like all we had was bro science

@Keksde

How Greg Doucette manipulated thousands of people into having Ab-anxiety and perpetuated this myth of maingaining for which, he himself, had different "definitions" (to this day, nobody can exactly define what it means) and has kept thousands of new gym-goers from making any progress

Do one on the "beginner trap" - the thing that gets new people into workout programs that might not be the best for them

I realize this isn’t a singular individual, but I would say the fitness clothing brands that pushed a wave of impossible body standards and steroids to sell millions of clothes

The rise and fall of Elliott Hulse sounds good

@MSordernature

Mike Mentzer had the most unusual take out of them all and was also eloquent. Died young so that could be an added aspect of the story, to remind people who got swept under the steroid epidemic what are the dangers. That too could be one, just list out the deaths in a compelling, visual fashion.

Yo Josh I haven’t seen one of your videos in a while (I watched you when you had like 4 videos up) but a David laid video would be really cool

@martinsskutans6646

I can’t be the only one, but it feels like post covid fatigue has set in for the last at least 2 years about everything fitness social media related. I still go to gym, but don’t watch any fitness related content- I’m just bored of “is he natural on not” , “top 5 best back exercises” and “high protein snack recipes” . Sure at least some others feel the same.
