Satvic Movement

WE ARE VERY CONFUSED & NEED YOUR VOTE.... 🗳️ to make one of the biggest decisions for the upcoming Satvic Food Brand! 🌾

A month ago, we asked you -- "which category of products should we launch first?"

The category with HIGHEST votes was basic kitchen essentials. This includes things like grains, flours, and legumes.

Since then, we’ve travelled across India. Met multiple farmers. Been on-ground researching 🧑‍🌾

Now, we have to make a very very important decision!!

Which way should we go forward with?

-----------------------------------------

Option 1 — Make this a 100% organic brand.
This means no chemicals used to grow the food. No artificial fertilisers. No pesticides.

Con of doing this - Organic food will cost about 20–30% more, since yields are lower and processes more natural.

-----------------------------------------

Option 2 — Make it a regular brand (not-organic)

Pro: It will be much more affordable compared to organic.
It will be comparable to market prices.
But it will be grown using chemical sprays and fertilisers like urea to boost production.

-----------------------------------------

Before you vote - pause for a moment.
Think about your health, your finances, and what you'd actually buy!
Then, cast your vote below 🙏✨

Why are you asking...when you are creating awareness about eating good food..it should be without chemicals also cost effective

Organic does not need to be expensive, break the myth. It's a social media hype, organic means expensive. Home grown veggies are pesticide / synthetic fertilizer free..

There are many brand as healthier but as 80% are middle class so we need cost effective also😊

@redemptionneeded

This question shouldn't be asked considering your "movement" - clearly your intentions are only money as of now

Doesn’t option 2 go against the ethos of what you believe in and have built? There are so many big and small brands that already do this … what would see you apart or what additional checks and guarantees would you provide in this case so that people switch to buying from you ? Intrigued to understand more before I vote

If it’s not organic, it would stand against everything the Satvic movement stands for. Where would be the difference to all those other harmful produce if you also allow toxic chemicals? Not to mention there are already countless brands like this on the market so why buy from Satvic movement? I understand your financial struggles but I don’t think that’s the way forward 😭

@D_div

Instead of launching kitchen essentials, you should start a chain of satvic restaurants in metro cities. In tamilnadu, i have seen some no oil no boil restaurants.

Never compromise on your principles. There needs to be a brand that doesn’t sell people’s health for 20% discount.

We all grew up having the regular Ordinary food produce. Organic produce has become more popular in recent times. I agree that in due time the use of chemicals and fertilizers has increased ,however, I think option that is sustainable in long run and also affordable to all, would be the right thing to do. Maybe can include certain tips and tricks how we can make these farm produce less harmful before cooking and healthy and right way of cooking them to retain nutrients.

Better to eat less but eat well. Nothing is worth compromising your health.. No amount of money can buy back your good health once lost!

What's the point of Satvic Movement if it's not organic?

@darshilpatira4689

Why is this even a question? There are other brands already present, that uses fertilizers.

Just do both if that doesn't take a lot of extra work. People will buy what they want according to their needs and affordability. The important thing is people should know why they are buying what they are buying. Even if they are buying non-organic because they can't afford organic, they should know that they are doing so to save money and there are better options, instead of just buying whatever is cheap. In this way, there is a good chance that many people will change their buying options whenever they can. There are a lot of people who have money but have no knowledge of organic/non-organic, healthy/unhealthy foods and just go with their compulsive instincts while selecting the food.

I think if you make inorganic then it would defeat the whole purpose of your building a "satvic" brand isn't it?

@HarithaShivani

Both can sustain each other 1st option is good for people who can afford 2nd is for all other who can't

Make it a regular brand, if you want to change the perspective of regular brands, but hard to make money. So start with an organic brand that your audience need, build a profitable company and then go for the regular brand.

I support option 1 because there are many brands who use fertilisers and chemicals.Please go with option 1.
