I'll never forget the first time I booted up Arkham Asylum. Not only did I get to see a dark, gothic, and creepy world that Rocksteady envisioned for this character, but also found the definitive Batman and Joker in less than twenty seconds. I beat the game in less than three days, and always find myself revisiting it more often than not. My favorite parts of Arkham Asylum come down to how much you feel like Batman, and how you know you're instantly the scariest thing in rooms full of thugs, regardless of where you are. I also love the story, atmosphere, voice acting, music, and artstyle. While Arkham City is better in many ways, Arkham Asylum is the one that brought us fans into this world, and I never can praise it enough for that. I'll recommend this game to anyone, anywhere, because I love it that much. Through all of the highs and lows of Batman's adaptations, this started the BEST Batman trilogy of all time, and Rocksteady truly gave us something super special.

Not only one of the best batman games, but one of the best games ever made. Period. Also, one of the first non-lego games I played as a kid. Still holds a sentimental piece of my heart ❤️ 💙

Did a playthrough about a month ago; aged like fine wine, and still holds up.

Many people pick Arkham City as the best game of Arkham universe, but to me, Arkham Asylum is. It was incredibly grotesque, hideous, and creepy so that almost felt like a horror movie rather than a video game. Absolute masterpiece.
