Don't know if this is a hot take or not, but I think putting some characters aside, like Zane and Cole, so others, like Kai and Jay could shine better was a really good choice and I don't mind if they keep doing this, now that we have so many characters.

Misako is the most overhated character in ninjago and a much better mother than the fandom thinks. Leaving lloyd at a school for bad Boys is undefendable ofc but I think she did a good job as a Mother later in the series. In s7 she was very supportive of lloyd when he tried to become a Master. Misako is the only person who talked to lloyd about his harumi trauma. In s8 ep 8 she immediatly went to talk to him and tried to explain to him that he is making a mistake thinking no one can be trusted. Lloyd went on a multiple season long arc trying to do exactly what misako told him. In s8 ep 9 she comforts lloyd again while the ninja were celebrating. No one on the team even thought about Talking to lloyd about his issues. Except for misako. The ninja have seen with their own eyes how important harumi was to lloyd, misako didn't but she was the only to care. In s8 ep 10 misako protects lloyd from garmadon's wrath by challenging a demonic warlord In combat. An elderly woman decided to fight someone who just humiliated the chosen one to protect her son. I don't know what else she can do not to be viewed as a bad Mother. Even if she made a huge mistake, she more than made up for it in my oppinion.

I really like what they’ve done with Jay and his relationship with Nya in DR. And how the writers were actually able to stretch the lore and the consequences of the merge long enough for things to matter. Jaya definitely needed this reboot. (The only downside to this is not having Jay’s ninja suit to complete the lineup between s2p2-3🥲

Oh I feel the fear. Alright here’s two. I’m glad elemental dragons and airjitu are gone because they would be too op and now they can struggle and overcome more. Season 11 is goated because of the Ice chapter. Akita is amazing, Lloyd deals with the aftermath of the Oni trilogy, Cole and Nya are both super well done this part. The music and animation are fantastic, and the overall vibes from the Never-realm are immaculate. The pacing also makes it seem longer than it is. Jay and Kai are characterized better in the Ice chapter too. Vex is also a very compelling villain. I also love seeing the Ninja just have a fun time going on like a camping trip in the fire chapter. It’s lowkey hilarious seeing the antics they get in to.

Miasko is such an over hated character. The reason people hate her is because of something that happened off screen and was barely explained. That’s not her fault. That was the writers being bad at their job. Everything she’s actually done in the show has been helpful. Theres a lot you could do with Misako like maybe go into her backstory and her reasoning for putting Lloyd in the boarding school and really explore her and Lloyds relationship but nope the writers never do anything with her. We know they care about each other, but that’s really it. In March of the Oni she’s literally told to stay out of the final fight and she doesn’t join the tornado of creation even though she knows spinjizu. She’s very similar to Pixel in that she’s been on the team for so long, but the writers never give them anything and it’s just sad

I got two, 1. Morro is not Morro in DR3pt2 he is departed soul, the real Morro has been possessing Cole since crystalized. 2. The writers are so bad they didn’t know how to deal with Zane and ghosts so they got rid of him(just the way I see it, I could be wrong and there could be a good reason but atm I see none)

Zane at this point is a waste of space and should be written out of the show to save room for the characters the writers actually seem to care about and know how to write like Kai, Jay, Sora, etc. At least with Cole, while he doesn't get a ton of screen time the writers have still written him very well and have only improved his character. Zane on the other hand, doesn't get a ton of screen time and has been written horribly.

My hot take; I honestly love how Jay lost his memory, I feel like it’s a cool, complex idea. I kinda do like how Jay is rude to everyone- even Nya. I feel like it just really adds to the plot, and I do not care if he never gets his memory back.

I feel like Jay in the Tournament of Sources was a huge miss. Had Jay either done more or not appeared at all during the Tournament of the Sources, then I feel like the arc would have worked better. TOTS Jay just feels like pointless fan service for the sake of fan service. Thank the FSM that Rogue came in and fixed Jay and actually made him a good character again.

Wyldfyre is an annoying character, I get that the intention was for her to start off as annoying and a bit of a nuisance to the team, and it worked really well for her character, and in season 2, I appreciate her injury character arc and dealing with Kai’s absence, but in season 3 part 2, he was so unfunny and annoying, she was becoming a borderline antagonist since she was screwing over the team
