Next video is now up and available for early access to members. In this video, "Unwritten Pokémon Mechanics", I discuss effects of moves/abilities that aren't written in their in game descriptions and how I would rewrite them to be more clear. The video is set for public release on Sunday, October 5.

@3st3ban70

I'm a Team Fortress 2 player and if I wanted to do a video about all of the unwritten stats of weapon, I would have 6 hours of content at least

I think moves with a 50% or higher activation chance of a secondary effect should have a different word than “may” in their descriptions.

Toxic randomly being perfect accuracy when used by a poison type.

one day pokemon abilities will be written like yugioh cards. People will complain so they will create problem solving ability text to make it more consistent. more funny thoughts: imagine a pokemon ability missing the timing.

Araquanid does a LOT of damage in the right conditions. When things start tp stack up, like Water Bubble + Water Tera + Mystic Water/Choice Band + Rain. 😅 Hell, throw in a Helping Hand that turn even, nothing will survive

Pokémon is like Star Wars, like 95% of the information you have to learn from outside sources to make any sense of it

Luckily I think Pokémon Champions will at least be more explicit with information like that. But it isn't something players will notice unless they experiment and notice damage outputs. I'm surprised Thick Fat doesn't have its own third effect which makes moves that involve weight deal more damage like heavy slam or heck give Body Slam a bonus amount of damage based on the higher tier of weight class. Like Snorlax having the best usage of Body Slam compared to Meganium or Venusaur for example. I feel like some moves ought to be updated like that.

Dachshund cannot be burned unless you use scald because all fire type moves are absorbed, including will-o-wisp. Or mold breaker will o wisp or something but mold breaker kinda defeats the purpose. A lot of moves you wouldn’t expect can trigger dancer. This includes Aqua Step and clangorous soul. Magic bounce not only sends status moves back at the opponent, but treats the pokemon like it used them. This is evident if you use parting shot, as the pokemon will switch out as if it used the move itself Also, mold breaker pokemon can boost the stats of contrary Pokemon and lower them as well. So if a mold breaker pokemon used charm on a Malamar, it would decrease the attacking stat, not raise it.

This should be fixed in champions from what we have seen with moves

Video idea: moves that could combine in double battles, let me elaborate: in gen 3 the double battle mechanic was intended to include move fusions: gust and ember become heat wave etc. But it was scrapped mid production and they were made their own moves Until the pledge moves in gen 5 which fuse to make single 150 power moves Pls do a video fusing existing moves together like that
