The Kohan

I've noticed that my longer form videos simply are not going to get the kind of views that I consider ideal. it's a very easy position for me to take to blame an algorithm to blame all sorts of rhetorical paranoid, schizophrenic enemies in my head why I am not getting the kind of view that my narcissistic self believes I'm entitled to.

But!

I look at the videos I've made. Do I want to watch any of them? Hell no! Actually, when I want to watch one of my videos, I pull up the older videos on my channel. The videos before I just started talking into a camera like an entitled little clown.

I want to make quality content again , and I feel convinced that I have the technology skill and motivation to do it. And I figured what better person to start a new trajectory of quality on my channel then by looking at the least controversial person in Middle Eastern history!

When it comes to talks about the prophet Muhammad, I've noticed it's either 100% hagiographical, with modern secondary sources, both in academia and in Islamic scholarship even going farther than the original Islamic primary sources to make Mohammed look like the sweetest and most lovely guy in history. on the other hand, you have the Reddit atheist/Islamophobic Christian crowd. If you believe these jokers, Mohammed is an almost inhuman monster, a racist caricature.

I want to do something else I want to look at the sources and the history critically like I would any other historical topic or person and try to find his true humanity, hiding in the shadow of the light of his influence. I want to find his insecurities. I want to find his drives. I want to find the way political, religious and artistic career came together in such an EPOCHAL way. And I want to do it with my signature claymation and art. I want to make a project that I can be proud of and can watch again and again.

I think I found a little bit of humanity where the falling angel met the rising ape, as I shamelessly pilfer the words of Terry Praychett. it may take a while and I will certainly release shorter videos and maybe even longer bullshit videos in between but I really wanna work on something. That's actually good with some degree of meaningfulness and artistic... well, we'll see how it turns out!

You have a very interesting analytical style. I also love the history and the way you connect it to current times. I recall a video where you were walking outside and exchanging dialogue with a family member. That was refreshing and different. I look forward to seeing more of that.

@Purepeacezone

God luck! I definitely think you have the capacity to improve and I think even a little bit of tightening up will make your videos a lot more accessible. You have very interesting things to say!!
