i use a bunch. mainly inkscape, blender, gimp and Krita. they all have their uses and comined cover all of my needs

I haven't yet found any art work I've needed to do that can't be solved by Inkscape and Gimp. Krita is interesting but doesn't really suit my needs. Also interesting is Grease Pencil in Blender. All are great free open source programs. I can't ever see myself paying something else, especially the over priced programs from Adobe. Free but not open source, there are some really good tools in Davinci Resolve. If you are making animated graphics.

I use FireAlpaca for illustrating and some photo editing. It's a free program, to boot! If the photo editing isn't enough, I switch to photoshop, or if I need vectors.... it's really dependent on what I need to do...
