Honeck for me is complete 50-50 conductor. When he is on, he delivers the best results in the last 40 years of anything. Not for nothing I would compare him partially to Carlos Kleiber. However when he is off, that is everytime the interventionist in him runs amok and he fuzzes with the score, he delivers some of the worst results of the last 40 years. We shall see were we end up tonight.
