Why is everyone so quick to say he deserved it? Have we lost all sense of compassion? His wife and children were sitting right there in the front row, watching everything unfold. Can you imagine the trauma of witnessing something so devastating, so public, and so permanent? His kids didnāt just lose their fatherāthey lost their sense of safety, their role model, their anchor. Now they have to grow up with that moment etched into their memory, replaying it over and over. No more bedtime stories, no more school runs, no more quiet moments of advice or laughter. Just silence where a fatherās voice used to be. You donāt have to agree with everything he did to recognize that no child deserves to lose a parent like that. No family deserves to be shattered in front of the world. So before you say he ādeserved it,ā think of the people who loved himānot for his public persona, but for who he was to them. A husband. A dad. A human being.

I never liked him. But this is awful. I hope his family ends up okay. Regardless of political views, we all need to acknowledge that this is horribly fucked up. Like I said, I wasnāt a fan of the guy, but he didnāt deserve to be shot in the neck.
