Sock and shoes. In the soviet union, it was a form of execution to have your shoes and socks taken from you in the middle of nowhere. Basically if you don't have clean socks and shoes in the winter, you are one foot in the grave, so to speak.

As someone who is homeless off and on beanies, gloves, and socks are the big 3 for winter. Besides an awesome jacket of course.

This is such wonderful community-minded thinking. I knit and crochet and we keep a bag with extra winter coats and the hats and scarves I make in the trunk of our car. My SO's business takes him to every corner of our community and we give these out to anyone we see that needs a bit of warmth. I am in the process of making a batch of hats to take to our local community center for the volunteers to hand out to the locals that stop in for a bit of human kindness and interaction. Thank you so much for thinking of others in need, if everyone did just a little of this, the world would be such a better place. Let's keep doing what we can💝

Hi - I follow the "invisible people" YT channel helping homeless people which inspired me to make little "help bags" and I find it helps to give variety so yes scarves, socks is super important, and tissues.

How much skooma do they get for a jacket or scarf? I would think them trading a good pair of boots would get them a big ol sack of whatever the hell it is they are taking. I guess it's hard to find content but encouraging them to get more drugs just to get entertaining videos seems a little dirty. Whatever, Rome has fallen better than trans kids. As we’re nearing the end of Scarves Against Skooma, some of you have brought up some phenomenal ideas. Instead of strictly just scarves, we could donate various winter clothing items (plus emergency blankets). I think this could be a cool opportunity to branch this fundraiser out a bit but ultimately, it’s up to you guys. This is the community’s fundraiser so that’s who I’ll leave the call to.
