ℹ️ Critics argue that a verse in the Qur’an describing the sun setting in a muddy spring is a scientific error, suggesting the text endorses an outdated cosmology. This article examines classical and contemporary interpretations to demonstrate that the verse employs phenomenal language and does not conflict with established scientific facts.

It says “wajada.” It’s talking about what Dhul Qarnayn sees from his POV, not a physical description of the sun.

I loved the link between Dhul-Qarnayn and the life of the prophet Muhammad ﷺ at Ahzab and the conquest of Mekka. بارك الله فيكم

In the light of today scientific knowledge, as AlQuran mentions that "the sun is swimming on its orbit"(In fact for each and every callestial body), is there any scientific sense at all to speak that the sun rises from the east and sets in the west? Is that possible the spinning and rovolving earth to have east and west and a person on the earth surface to advocate the sun rises or sets? So what do you think when AlQuran narrates about ZulQarnain; " So he followed a course until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it setting in a muddy spring and found a people there about. We said, ‘O Dhū al-Qarnayn, either punish them or show them kindness." if not about a local scenery where he has reached?

Cyrus (Zul-QARNINE) the Great Achaemenid Persian King conquered Lydian Kingdom todays Turkiye land and reached BLACK SEA (which has BLACK DARK WATER), and then CYRUS ZULQARNINE WENT TO BELUJISTAN TO GEDROSIAN DESERTS WHERE THERE IS NO PROTECTION FROM SUN! CYRUS ZULQARNINE THEN FOUGHT AGAINST GETES AND MASSAGETES 🍅(GOG AND MAGOG!)
