This is a 1985 Olds 98, how can I tell it's an 85 you ask? 3.8 red dot engine with distributor. Essentially a Buick Grand National engine without the turbo. These engines are my wheelhouse, I have built hundreds of them over the years.

Fairly sure that severe low power was standard from the factory.

Looks like my grandfather's early 80's delta 88. His had red interior. Loved that car.

OLDS Regency, date it about 1987. I had a company car just like it and traveled a couple hundred thousand care free miles with the 3.8 V6.

Buick Regency around 1988 Fuel system issues from sitting aside, common problems with these were tps and maf sensors. I've also encountered exhaust systems and a/c evaporators full of nuts or dog food when the vehicle has been stored outside.

Looks great. I’ll bet it’s equipped with the zero-effort power steering. My favorite feature of 80s GM cars. One finger under the spoke and you can lock to lock like you were dialing a phone

I grew up in an β€˜89 olds regency 98, this one looks a couple years older or a trim lower based on the climate control and audio system. Real peach of a car, they are so rare these days!

Definitely and Oldsmobile. Classic . Back when the interior was meant for the living room room look.

We had one that had a 4.3 diesel in it. We would get 40-50 mpg with that car. It was an awesome commuter when I was in college. πŸ˜„

Holy sh1t what an amazing car! I always loved those Oldsmobile / 80's GM puffy velour seats! I don't know what model olds it is, but it's got to be mid 80's, leaning on the early 80's side.

With that plush interior, knew right away it was an eighties Oldsmobile. For the middle class folks that car was very popular. I think Toyota with their minimalist style and efficacy with younger people foreshadowed the end of Oldsmobile.
