What are your thoughts on Escape From Tarkov?

@Angr_Issue

Takes too long to prepare a full kit for yourself, then it takes to long to queue in. Other games in its genre already have these 2 problems solved

You forgot the “I enjoy punishing myself” option

as much as i love the game itself, it's almost impossible for new players. the only way new players have even the slightest chance is if they watch like 20 hours of tutorials and guides. the game is full of sweats that can hit headshots from across the map. plus you lose your items when you die which makes encountering sweats even more frustrating.

As a dude that has limited time to game, it pains me to have spend most of my time on a que/loading screen.

@Acidsniffer

Cheater problem is the biggest problem the game suffers from

Played it a handful of times when it first came out, had no idea what I was doing or where the extraction point was and gave up

I think they should make it so you keep your gear after dying, I would play the game if they did that

Wanted to get into it but couldn’t even make an account on the website because of the captcha bullshit. Maybe one day🤷‍♂

it's a love hate for me, love the game, but get lots of rage quit when you lose best gear.

I enjoy killing a guy from 200 meters away. He adds me and become friends. Would recommend this game. Very wholesome.

The things that are issues are worth it because this game is an experience that isn't offered anywhere else. Cheating is a thing, but 90% of the time you think it is, it's just the brutality of the gameplay. Que times are a matter of perspective, everyone is used to instant ques, and yes Tarkov waits can be inconsistent and longer than expected, but again the experience is extremely enjoyable once in match. Many people understand the trade off of quality over quantity.

Be nice if more players are in game per match.. a 64 player map be great… extraction point is a pain and for new players.. well they give up so that’s the game.. give up

It's been my main game for about 3 years now. Audio needs to be addressed badly before anyone new comes along. But if you are willing to put in the time and deal with the punishment there is no more rewarding game to learn, especially as a solo player. It feels really good to get good at something a lot of people give up on. But I hate that you literally need 2 monitors to play it. 1 for the game and 1 for the wiki. In many many ways the video game design is super shit.

Everyone who said anything other than hate doesn’t play this game
