I like seeing 5 survivors more than seeing too many honestly. But definitely take that break and relax, too!

I’d say somewhere between 10 and 20. Like other people have pointed out, you don’t want too many survivors because you want the survival to mean something. On the other side of the coin, people are always going to complain when their country doesn’t do well and keeping it to such a low number such as 1-5 will only exacerbate this. Whenever I see someone I cheer for lose, I try to take into account how far they actually got and see if there are any positives to be found that way, something many people just don’t care to do. So really, it’s all about finding that balance between making the survivals mean something and giving your audience a reason to have some hope for their marble and reducing the number of complaints made just because their marble didn’t make it to the end.
