1. MIUI was extremely laggy and it had a problem with Wi-Fi 2. Experiments!!! 3. Privacy and security 4. New features 5. Better customization and more choice 6. I am an advanced user. I want to control my device and not the device (or manufacturer) to control me (this reason appeared later than others so that's why it is the last one)

For me, the main reason for using a custom ROM is performance. I always use a custom ROM on my secondary device Redmi Note 10 Pro to enhance gaming performance. It also maintains consistent frame rate even when the device heats up or the battery level is low. However, I am unable to use a custom ROM on my primary phone due to various issues such as problems with GPS, camera functionality, low audio quality during calls, unstable network connectivity, and poor battery life. Furthermore, it is important to note that custom ROMs are provided as a free service, so no complaints 😜
