I remember watching it in theaters. The second Ashoka showed up on screen, I called BS. Just by watching the Prequel Trilogy, Ashoka becoming Anakin’s padawan makes zero sense. 1. The council never trusted Anakin. Because of the Chosen One Prophecy. And the fact he was considered too old for Jedi training 2. Anakin is reckless, impulsive, and treated orders like suggestions. His craving for adventure and excitement goes against Jedi teachings of discipline and self-mastery. 3. The Jedi Council was reluctant to give Anakin the rank of Jedi Knight in the micro-series. Why would they be so quick to give him a padawan? 4. Anyone with basic common sense would not let someone like Anakin babysit a child in the middle of a war.

To quote Mace Windu:"Not yet!" I'd say even in the TCW era, the good outweighed the bad. We had the Darth Plagueis novel, the Kenobi novel, the first Force Unleashed, Death Troopers etc. I'd say that even Lego Star Wars 3 which is based on TCW, is probably the best Lego Star Wars game overall even though the complete saga is my personal favorite one. I think it’s more accurate to say that Star Wars was diagnosed with some illness in 2008 and then finally died in 2014.

Easily my biggest disappointment about Star Wars. As someone who grew up loving Prequels, prequel era and characters like Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda etc; I remember the existance of a six seasons long TV show covering this era and focusing on these characters has very excited me back in the day, and all the glaze the show gets has much more hyped me. But when I eventually watched it from start to finish, I was kinda disappointed because most of the show was boring, filler episodes and I thought it detaches from the movies a lot. And then as I became more familiar with EU, experienced CWMMP and saw how much this show retconned it, my already not so high opinion about it has lowered down to almost zero.

New fans and TCW fans are loving this show so much because they don't know how much the EU is peak. I remember a word from a old EU channel. Even if they read the EU, most of them will continue to like TCW because they watched TCW first. That's a good opinion. Even when I was little I knew how peak EU was. Unfortunately TCW is not that good. When we say that, they show us IMDB lol
