I've always had curly/wavy hair that is prone to unruliness and frizz that never really looked "put together". During my second pregnancy, my hair grew out completely straight! I had always wanted straight hair but when mine went straight I actually missed my curly hair. Luckily, after 3 years, I've finally cut off the last of my straight hair and it's back to it's curly/waviness! I'm determined to embrace my natural hair and have been watching all the curly hair tutorials, including yours! I appreciated when you mentioned that you don't have to follow all the curly "rules" and to just do what works best for your own hair!

Congratulations on 4 years! š And thank you for launching at Ulta so that I could get my hands on Air Dry Cream in my cute little farm town. This year I have finally decided to embrace my waves! As long as I can remember Iāve either wanted stick straight hair or even curlier hair. I didnāt understand how to be in between. This meant straightening or using a curling iron every day š„µ. 4 years! š Iāve been using JVN since the fall of 2021, which was a rough time for me medically- but at least my hair looked good! Except for a total bleach fail a couple years later but thatās on me and will never be repeatedā¦ probably. I think itās using your products that helped my hair be healthy enough to not fall out when I did that. Also, Iām not allergic to any products I have used and that really nice. I used to get a spiral perm pretty frequently for most of my life. At 51, I'm scared to perm and/or color. My hair has a natural wave, and it's long. Ash blonde/grey. Rocking a perm was a very easy style. But now, I just don't know what to do with it.

I couldnāt be happier for you Jonathan and your whole team! Youāve radiated such positivity into this world and continued my personal journey of self acceptance, and embracing all the qualities that I had buried for so long just by being yourself. My hair journey has been part of that as well while I have not had the luxury of using JVN products as much as I would like them ; treating myself financially hasnāt been on the table for a long time. For all of my upbringing up until I left home at 21 my hair was pressured to be short as soon as it grew. Any length passed a few fingers, the comments from my immediate family ā long hair is for girlsā and other ignorant things so much so that I conditioned myself and it wasnāt until a few years ago in my late 20s that I started experimenting and turns out I have some gorgeous curls, I had to cut them because they do require more products and more maintenance to keep the looking nice so now I try to keep the top long as possible so I have something to play with, and I can still feel a bit of my genuine self. Thatās my journey so far, well as far as hair is concerned.. thank you for always being yourself and continuing to push through different forms of media and diversify your representation. Happy birthday JVN. I have used JVN products since the month it launched. I knew it was going to be incredible because Jonathan wouldn't stand for anything less. As a testament to his perseverance and vision, I know a lot of work went into the development of the packaging. His products are cased in metal not plastic containers to minimize waste. The first order I received, one of the containers had leaked badly. JVN was quick to send a replacement along with a note explaining that they were continuing to improve on the design. Whatever they did worked, and I haven't had a problem since. Another company may have given up and went the easy route. But JVN does not compromise. It's a great product and I hope JVN sticks around for years to come.

I spent the early 2000s trying to get my hair straight and for the last six years Iāve been embracing the curly/wavy hair I didnāt even know I had. Always trying to wrangle the frizz and keep my hair healthy and my routine simple. Iāve done a lot of different styles, colors and lengths and right now Iām kinda bored with my hair. Medium/long length, boring haircut, no color or highlights, fried from hard water. Not horrible, but not feeling myself. I need some inspiration!
