On October 7, 2023, the terrorists of Hamas from the Gaza strip massacred more than 1,200 Israelis. That was the biggest slaughter of Jewish life on any single day since the holocaust. The murderers did this horrific thing on a Sabbath of Simchat Torah / Shemini Atzeret, a major Jewish holiday in the Land of Israel. We mourn together with the people of Israel and know that there are still families waiting for their loved ones to come home, from captivity or from the front in Gaza or in Lebanon. May God comfort all those who lost their dear children, parents, relatives or friends. God helps Israel have victory over their enemies. "Do not fear, for I am with you [Israel], do not be dismayed, for I am your God: I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My Righteous Right hand" (Isaiah 41:10) Also the Holy One, Blessed be He, says to us in Joel 3:1-2: "In those days when I turn back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat and judge them there, for they have scattered My people Israel". Ezekiel offers us a prophecy: So I prophesied as He had commanded me, and the breath entered them, and they came to life and stood on their feet--a vast army (Ezekiel 37:10). This is what God has done for Israel. May He help the people of Israel fight against their enemies in complete victory! May the massacre of october, 7 never happen again, in Jesus' Name!
