I am so mentally destroyed at this point after this incident. There is no use getting mad.
(For clarification, the data that was lost was all the data from every device I had before they were destroyed meaning that data from over 5 devices over the course of many years was lost)

same happened to me two weeks ago, ran rm -rf /* on a burner pc and forgot that i had a usb with all my data plugged in. years of memories gone
