Smart Home Solver

OKAY I hear you loud and clear! On my new automations video, I had tons of comments asking how I set up everything in Home Assistant. So I wrote it all here: smarthomesolver.com/reviews/10-new-automations-for…

I normally share an article or second channel video showing the technical details, but I was in Seattle filming a smart home tour so things got pushed back!

Also, I'm thinking about doing another video JUST about the TV lights, since I've added a few conditions to make it even more perfect. If you're interested in that, comment below 👇👇 (and subscribe to my tutorial channel Reed's Smart Home)

In my best Jerry McGuire imitation... "Show me the YAML!!!" 😂 Always appreciate learning opportunities Reed! Looking forward to seeing your next video. My play/pause automation is very similar to yours. I have mine control the kitchen and bathroom lights too, as that's normally where someone is headed. Oh, I just used your link to buy a WiZ LED strip. Hope it helps!

I’m certainly interested in the automations you do. I’d be keen for a batch of short form videos where you show an automation you’ve done, and show the ‘recipe’ of how you did it. Particularly where you utilise multiple devices, or items such as your region recognition on your camera. Also, thanks for the inspiration you provide.

Thanks alot !

@swissfreek

That’s the one I’m interested in. I’ve seen that the AppleTV sends all sorts of states to Home Assistant, but I haven’t spent much time thinking about how I can use them all.

Saw your video, thought I replicated it pretty well, only to discover that the lights went bright if I even so much as went to the Shield's home screen screen, so I'm interested!

Looking forward to the TV automation video! Not sure if you’re a Plex user, but have you see the Plex webhooks integration with HA? Might be a little niche for your audience, but I’d love a how-to on Plex webhook automations!
