An episode on the gut microbiome. In Australia, there was a program I watched talking about a woman with depression and bi polar symptoms, she had even been hospitalised at times for severe mental health issue. Also been suicidal. After a foecal transplant, she has been fully recovered. Her psychiatrist was at first waiting to see if it lasted over a long time, and it has. If interested, this story was on a program called 'Australian Story' on ABC TV. I found it such an amazing and wonderful story of recovery.

Congratulations! 🎉 Can you do an episode about aging and/or coming to terms with having had illnesses and such that have left a mark? Maybe it doesn’t sound so celebratory

Long time listener and fan, thank you for what you and your dad and Elizabeth do —your podcast is the only one I listen to regularly and I’ve found it so helpful —and thank you for asking this. I would love a podcast on choosing to break with family and/or friends (estrangement) and starting over more authentically, especially later in life. Like other commenters, I would also love more on dealing with long term CPTSD, as well a ADD/OCD. Lastly, I’d love to hear more about dealing with the challenges of being a therapist — part of what has kept me from the field, though I feel like it’s such a natural fit for me, is that it seems like such a lonely and isolating profession - you don’t regularly work with or meet new people that you can form friendships with, no work happy hours or shared work projects, etc. - and the burden of feeling all the difficult feelings and trauma of clients. I’d also love to hear about what it’s like on the research side for those of us interested in psych/social psych/behavioral science research. Thank you❤

Well done, super milestone for a great show! I'd love to see an episode about getting into therapy/psychology/counselling as a profession! What your experiences have been (good/bad), would you recommend it, what kinds of people would you recommend the work to (or not!) and any advice you have for aspiring practitioners! I think it would be a nice reflection, aside from the usual content, to think about your own experiences - a celebration of the work/profession, if you will.

Congrats!!! Your channel has helped me get through an extremely hard time in my life and has given me so much insight into my own internal world and agency. I would love an episode on how to stay motivated and fulfilled by life while dealing with chronic mental and physical conditions, including developmental conditions like Autism/ADHD/CPTSD. I am struggling to take in the good and stay encouraged that things will improve while dealing with constant pain and mental/physical limitations

Well deserved!! Great podcast! I would really like to know more about the psychology of cults, especially recidivist cults and communities that want to turn back time to overcome modernity.

Congrats! You all deserve it. I have never been disappointed by an episode. It's obvious You all put so much work into each one and bring different perspectives and touch on deep and important topics. The calm energy you bring to sensitive issues while discussing the real north gritty dirty stuff that makes life hard for us is so healing. May you all prosper. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that might not have already been done, but there's a couple that I'd like anyway. How to tap into our intuition again, when our inter generational trauma and conditioning has forced us to abandon it? A subscribers led AMA Q&A with all three of you? Again, so glad to see so many finding you now. ❤🎉

Bravo! I’ve been listening to this episode and yes I made it to the end! Thanks for explaining this different methods, I realize with my years of going to counseling starting in grade 4 when my teacher wrote a note to my mom that the teachers think I’m depressed and would benefit from counseling. I think I’ve had all these experiences with the professionals. I’m starting a holistic life coaching training in September and I’m hoping to help others understand what I’m learning here. We are all the same and there’s different paths we can take to figure out our best outcome. I didn’t mind it at all that it went over your normal time! I’ll watch it again with my husband!! Thanks again for all your research! Me search!!❤

I really appreciate everything you create and share. I love your podcast, I study counselling and I told all my classmates about it, it's brilliant. So thank you. If you are looking for ideas, I'd be interested in an episode about using AI in therapy. You spoke about it in a mail bag ep, but you both seemed to have more to say, and it's definitely an interesting topic. Another one I'd love to hear more about is an episode about addiction, both substance and behavioural. The classic 12 step model is classic for a reason, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the issue. Anyway, thanks again for all the hard work you put into your podcast, there're many ppl who really enjoy and appreciate it.

Thank you both for all your hard work. You are a brilliant beam at the top of the lighthouse....

Well done and many thanks for all your hard work! 🙏❤️ This may not be the topic for a celebratory episode, but at some point I’d like you to ask Rick about the differences in approach (and basic assumptions) between Buddhism/buddhist psychology and western psychology, and how he’s worked with that as a practitioner and clinician. For example, in Buddhism there’s this idea of basic innate goodness, whereas the western psychological model is more focused on pathology… and that’s just one difference in premise. I’d really like to hear both your thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of the different traditions and what we can learn from them about the best way to relate to and help both ourselves and other people who are struggling. I think it would be really cool to hear a conversation along these lines

We just hit 150k subscribers, a crazy milestone. I'm so incredibly appreciative of everyone who's taken the time to watch and listen to the podcast over the years.
I have no idea what we'd do for a celebratory episode, but it's a good opportunity to reach out to ya'll and see what you'd like. Let me know in the comments if there's a concept you'd be interested in us trying, or a topic you'd particularly like us to explore.
