The suggestion about the Museum of Canals had me devastated I didn't know about it when I visited (but Amsterdam has SO MANY museums it takes forever just to read about them!). I'm glad to hear you went to it and that it was good 😊

Melange ASMR
Thank you everyone for your suggestions for Amsterdam! The time was far too short for everything, as always, but what a beautiful and charming city. Wandering about was definitely the right tip. In the end, we went for the Rijksmuseum, the Maritime Museum, and the Museum of the Canals. The last one is a small, really lovely audiotour through the history of Amsterdam - perfect for a first time visit. We somehow didn't find time for a boat tour, so I guess we'll just have to come back...
