I think $400 would be more apt, especially given the amount on software it’s slated to charge (and, it’s important to remember that most of the money here does come from software typically). It’s tough because Nintendo has missed a lot of the boat over the course of the last couple years when it comes to major releases, namely Elden Ring and Red Dead 2. It’s trying to recoup a lot of that missed cash flow, but tariffs (even if paused at the moment) still will be cause for concern for a lot of US buyers.

I think $499 with a bundle is pretty expensive but $449 is alright. I’m pre ordering it anyways so I’m very excited for launch day!

I don't think the asking price is too bad for the console but I can't justify paying $80 for a game...especially ones that have been available for years and which you can currently buy for far cheaper.

If the base model and the bundle were both $50 less, I think that'd be the sweet spot. Now their games... that's another thing. I don't care how "open world" Mario Kart is. Have they heard of Forza Horizon? 🤯

People want more features at a cheaper price. It’s like asking for a base model car with real leather seats and premium audio at a cheaper price. Reality is it makes it more expensive. Is it reasonable to ask for more features at a cheaper price?
